Close to 1000 invited guests witnessed the glittering event at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Ballroom for the first Visa/Arabian Business.com Awards ceremony where pioneers of e-business in the region were recognized as trendsetters
and those who set standards.

The judging committee, which constituted of industry leaders from various wakes of Information Technology analysed each site and casted their votes through secret ballot.
The Judges considered the actual effectiveness of each site and took into account:

The innovation shown in the creation of the site

The technical competence of execution of the site to users

The commercial or social rationale of the site (as appropriate) to users

The benefits the site will bring to users
The judges pointed out that ease of use, depth of information and speed were key contributors to www.altayer-travel.com winning the award. They also noted that comparison-shopping on
the site was very easy and the holidays on offer were good value for money.
